A Cedar Rapids motorcyclist was flown by Lifeguard Helicopter to University Hospitals in Iowa City on Monday, Sept. 30, after he lost control of the vehicle on a curve near Chelsea according to the Tama County Sheriff's Office.

It was noted Northup was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
