Your chance to spruce up your property and dispose of unwanted items, many for free, has rolled around again and will take place this Friday, Oct. 11, in Toledo.
City crews will make one pass through the residential sections so you must have your items at curbside Friday morning.
Items should also be sorted in separate containers for wood, glass and other materials
White goods - appliances and other household equipment - requires a $10 tag because the Tama County Landfill charges this amount for disposal. In addition, TVs, computer monitors and other equipment require $5 disposal tags.
The tags can be purchased at the City Clerks' Office in the Toledo Community?building, 103 S. Church St..
Tires, garbage and a number of other items are not eligible for pick up. See a complete list of materials not accepted in the advertisement on Page 5.

On Friday, Oct. 18, brush and tree limbs will be picked up for free by the city. Grass and leaves are not accepted but may be disposed of at the City brush pile on West Ross Street.
