Terry Johnson, chief operating officer of Genesis, Inc. gave an update to the Tama County Board of Supervisors on Pheasant Ridge, the former Tama County Home at their meeting on Sept. 16.
A mandate has required some changes in the county home in that they are now limited to census of 16.
This has made it necessary to find homes for the balance of those who have been making their home in Pheasant Ridge. Johnson says it is slow coming in getting housing for this group, but they are working on it and he feels it will be accomplished soon.
Johnson also told supervisors Genesis has been in existence for forty years. Johnson says they will be auditing Genesis soon.
He feels everything will be fine. Johnson says if they are CARP credited, the state generally accepts this. However, the Department of Inspection and Appeals do not accept CARP creditation.
CARP creditation is for a period of three years.
