Hello again. I didn't catch any fish so back to work, vacation is over.
First on our agenda is the FREE movie this weekend. It is titled "Home Run." The story is about a pro ball player with a substance abuse problem who is forced into rehab in his hometown, finding new hope when he gets honest about his checkered past, and takes on coaching duties for a misfit Little League team.
Remember this movie runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 13, 14, 15 at the Wieting. It is rated PG-13 and runs 7 p.m. to 9:10 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Concessions will be available at regular prices.
This free movie is sponsored by Reverend Kenny Mervin and the Meskwaki Celebration Church in Tama.
Our next event planned is the annual fundraiser "Trivia Night" which will be held at the Reinig Center, Saturday, November 23, 2013. The cost is the same $80 per table, and you may have 8 people. This is a fun event, come test your knowledge, you might be surprised at how smart you are! The monet raised at this event goes to the Wieting Foundation to be applied to the renovation debt.
Until then -
"I'll see ya at the Wieting." - - -
