Volunteer blood donors play a vital role in the community health care system. Blood donors are needed every day to ensure the right blood product is on the shelf the moment it is needed.
You can make a life-saving blood donation at an upcoming blood drive:
Tama & Toledo Communities Blood Drive, Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 2-6 p.m. at the Tama Civic Center, 305 Siegel.
Eligible donors must be 16 years of age or older, weigh at least 120 pounds, and be in general good health. Donors should also eat a good meal and drink plenty of fluids prior to donating.
Schedule a blood donation appointment online at www.lifeservebloodcenter.org or call 800-287-4903.
