The Tama County Leadership Program, sponsored by Iowa Valley Continuing Education and the Tama-Toledo Area Chamber of Commerce, is set to begin Oct. 10. Again, this year you can choose to attend all eight sessions or pick and choose the topic that interests you. Tama County Leadership will meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the State Bank of Toledo, 100 East High Street, Toledo.
The program welcomes new, aspiring and seasoned leaders in Tama County. Participants will enhance their ability to lead while increasing knowledge and understanding of county-wide issues. Topics for the program include: Your Work Personality (Oct. 10), Building a Team (Nov. 14), Conflict Management (Dec. 12), Visioning (Jan. 9), Time Management (Feb. 13), Financial Responsibility (March 13), Local Government (April 10), and Building a Community (May 8).
Tuition for Tama County leadership is $99 per participant and includes all materials and light breakfast at each session. You can register for each session separately for $25 per session. Early registration is encouraged as space is limited. The registration deadline is Oct. 3, 2013. Applicants are encouraged to check with their employing organization about financial sponsorships.
