Two persons have been charged recently for illegally dumping their trash in the Tama recycling bins according to Police Chief Jeff Filloon.

Over the past weekend, police dug another collection of garbage and household goods out of the bin site.

Filloon said city officials have now ordered security cameras to be installed at the site due to the ongoing problems.

Trash including seat pads from what appear to be couches and chairs, a cooler and other items disposed of in the recycling bins in downtown Tama were recovered by police last weekend. Only recycleable items listed on the bins are accepted. Tama officials have warned if the deposit of other items continues, the bins will be removed.
