Aaron Edward Novak

Aaron Edward Novak, 37, of Oelwein, formerly of Jesup, died Monday, Aug. 5, at Mercy Hospital of Franciscan Sisters, Oelwein, from complications of Sturge-Weber syndrome. Services were Thursday, Aug. 8, at Zion Lutheran Church, Oelwein, with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Toledo.

He was born March 28, 1976, in Marshalltown, son of James Edward and Lillian Janet Pleis Novak. He graduated from Jesup High School in 1995.

Survivors include his parents of Oelwein, a sister, Julie (Nathan) Westendorf of Oelwein; maternal grandparents, John and Clara Pleis of Fayette; and aunt, Nancy Carlson, rural Tama, and uncles, Richard Novak, Tama, and Bruce Novak of Texas.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Russel and Helen Novak, Tama-Toledo, and aunt, Janet Novak.

Memorials may be directed in his name to Sturge-Weber Foundation.
