To the Editor,
I am writing this letter to you because we need help finding an indoor facility that we can use for the winter. The facility will be used for youth baseball, I have two 12' x 70' batting cages used to help youth develop batting and pitching skills at a very early age.... I started the South Tama Baseball Club program two years ago, it is growing very fast. We started with twelve boys and one team, we now have two eleven year old teams both who participated in USSSA state tournament this past July.... We in a short time won a tournament in Marshalltown in April going 4-0, went from finishing 23rd out of 24 teams last year to 7th out of 24 teams this year. The other team built just one month before the state tournament made up primarily of nine year olds playing in a 10 & under state tournament finished 19th out of 24 teams!. This fast development of these kids is due in large part of being able to practice indoors the past two years..
My long term goal is to build a powerful high school state championship team, it starts with a strong foundation (Feeder Program) through this program it will build self confidence, team building, sportsmanship, leadership, diversity and give these boys the tools they need to be successful not only in baseball but through life as well....
It looks like we will have a 7,8,9, 10 and 2 11's, 12, 13 year old age groups for the start of next tournament season!!
This why we need an indoor facility, if anyone can help us please call me - 641-481-3382.
