It's Bohemian Plum Festival time in Clutier. We all look forward to the first weekend in August (2-3) for a time of good friends, good music and good food.
There are events for a lot of varied interests.
On Friday from 2-7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. the flea market will be set up in the former Clutier lumber yard. Lots of treasures and unusual items are sure to be found there.
Unique to this year's festival will be a sneak preview of a major independent film, "A Place for Heroes" which was filmed in Traer and Clutier. Public places In Clutier that appear in the film are the Clutier Public Library, the ZCBJ Hall and the Czech Point restaurant.
This will be shown at the Clutier Community Center from 5-7 p.m. on Friday. You should be able to spot a few local people here and there in the film. Admission is charged for this event.
At 11 a.m. on Saturday we start with the Veteran's Parade, immediately followed by the Grand Parade. At 1:45 p.m. the Kiddie Parade will march down Main Street.
We will have more music on Main Street this year starting with Barefoot Becky on Friday evening. Storm Seymour will entertain us on Saturday at 12:30pm. He has changed his focus now to singing more gospel music and puts on a very entertaining show.

At 9 p.m. Czech Point will be sponsoring Star Class Karaoke outdoors. All outdoor events are pending weather.
In case of rain some of the events will be held at the Clutier Community Center.
For the kids, we will have the Bounce House on the corner all day Saturday. After the Kiddie Parade, the Money Scramble will follow.
There's a Tractor Pull will be at 2:30. Both events will be on Main Street.
The ZCBJ Lodge will have their annual bike give-away also.
