UPDATE- 8:20 p.m.- 7-17-13-Toledo city workers believed they located a shutoff or slow-down valve for a broken water main in downtown Toledo just before 8:30 p.m. If the valve slows the water flow successfully, work will begin on the major leak at the intersection of Broadway and High. A city spokesperson said the water pressure is too high to work on the leak unless the flow through the main is restricted. The valve was about 1/2 block east in front of the former office building of Dr. Maplethorpe. A boil order issued abut 6:30 p.m. is in effect. The level in the Toledo water tower was reported to be at 24 ft.
