Before Judge Sean W. McPartland in Tama County District Court in Toledo:

Troy Scott Grovo, 49, Traer, pled guilty to 2nd offense drunken driving. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail with all but 10 days suspended, fined $1,875 and placed on probation for one year to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services.

He also pled guilty to charges of speeding and seatbelt violation and was assessed fines and costs totaling $310.

Grovo was originally charged on Nov. 17, 2012, with 3rd offense drunken driving by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Bryan Ellenbecker.

Brandon Eugene Michael Holubar, 17, Marshalltown, entered a written guilty plea to a charge of assault causing bodily injury - non domestic abuse. He was sentenced to seven days in jail with credit for seven days served and fined $315.

He was originally charged in a County Attorney's information with domestic abuse assault on March 17.

Before District Court Judge Douglas S. Russell:

Casey James Meyer, 28, Elberon, entered written guilty pleas to a charge of prohibited acts - maintaining a drug house. He was sentenced to a suspended two-year prison sentence, fined $625 and his driver's license was revoked for 180 days. He was placed on probation for two years to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services.

Meyer was originally charged on April 19 with engaging in ongoing criminal conduct and aiding and abetting or conspiracy to manufacture more than five gams of methamphetamine by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Bruce Rhoads.
