New location and great classes

Going west on old Highway 30, you notice a green building with all sorts of beautiful flowers in all sorts of interesting places and lumber and other indications of remodeling.

This is the new Shoestring Garden, and it is already a "happening place." It's the place where you will make mosaics, classy coffees, scarfs, soap, and varieties of teas.

The Shoestring Garden has already been the place for Iowa Valley classes,

and it will be the location of two more classes coming up. On Saturday, July 13, you will be making different kinds of teas, using different kinds of brewing, and taking home samples. The class begins at 5 p.m. Bring $12 payable to the instructor, Sandy McIntire, at the time of the class. Tuition for this class is $18. Please try to register by July 12.

The next happening at the Garden is soap-making. This is a repeat class that was very successful. You will be making soap, creating designs with your soap bars, molding soap, and having a lot of fun. (Having taken this class, it is definitely a fun experience). You will take home a lot of soap made by YOU. The class meets on Sunday, July 28, and on Sunday, Aug. 4 starting at 4 p.m.. Bring $15 payable to Sandy at the time of the class for materials. Tuition for this class is $32. Please try to register by July 24.

The Shoestring Garden is located in the former Zack's Game Bag building.

It is easy to find -just look for an abundance of flowers!
