Free clinic for children with orthopaedic condition

July 10, 2013
Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

Letter to the Editor:

Citizens of Tama County, if you know of any child up to the age of 18 in your area with an orthopaedic condition (muscle, bone or joint related) please inform families about a free evaluation clinic.

The Shriner's Hospitals for Children in the Twin Cities will host a free evaluation in our area, Friday, July 26, from 1 p.m. to 3pm at the University of Northern Iowa (UNI-Dome) 2401 Hudson Road, Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Come early (before the free evaluation) and join the Shrine Bowl football players and cheerleaders at their mini camp for a "meet and greet" opportunity to practice drills and cheer routines scheduled for Friday morning, July 26, from 10am to 12pm.

To schedule an appointment for a child, call toll free 888-293-2832.

At times I accompanied my husband when A.J. furnished transportation to and from the Shriner's Hospitals in Minneapolis and I have seen first hand the help given individual children to make a vast improvement in their ability to fully function.

Please tell anyone who might not know about this truly available opportunity.
