Before Judge Douglas S. Russell in Tama County District Court in Toledo:
Dalton Eugene Youngbear, 20, Toledo, entered a written guilty plea to a charge of possession of a controlled substance. In a plea agreement, Youngbear was sentenced to two days in jail, fined and assessed court costs totaling $425 and had hid driver's license revoked for 180 days.
Youngbear originally faced a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. He was accused of possession 54 grams of marijuana, a scale and small baggies for distribution on April 17 by Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police Officer Fred Oster. Court records did not show the location of the arrest.
Jay Fitzgerald Henry Jr., 21, Toledo, entered a written guilty plea to possession of a controlled substance. In a plea agreement he was fined and assessed a surcharge totaling $425, sentenced to 30 days in jail with all but seven days suspended and placed on probation the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services
Henry was orignally charged on April 5 with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver by Toledo Police Officer Andrea Young. The location of the arrest did not appear in court records.
Donald Ray Zahnd, 43, Melbourne, Iowa, entered a written guilty plea to a charge of assault causing bodily injury. He received a deferred sentence and was placed on unsupervised probation for one year.
Zahnd was originally charged with assault- strangulation causing bodily injury on May 23 by Toledo Police Officer Brian Randall. Zahnd was accused of pushing the victim into his truck causing neck pain and injury.
