John Willett, a member of the Tama County ARC, said a lease for the Tama County Career Development Center in downtown Tama was complete for Central Iowa Residential Services Inc. ARC, a non-profit organization, owns the building at 231 W. 3rd St. where the CDC?is located.
The Marshalltown-based organization was set to take over the Career Development Center operation on July 1 according to Jeff Vance, the executive director.
Jessica Pushetonequa was named the director for the day program Vance wrote in a letter to CDC?consumers and their families and he shared with The News-Herald.

Pushetonequa has worked for CIRSI?since 2008 and has been serving as the Sesame Street residential site service coordinator.
Vance said Missy Massengale of Tama, will continue CDC?employment. "Missy has been instrumental in the success of the CDC and knows the program inside and out. We are thrilled to have her join our team," Vance wrote in part.
In addition Luba Lyon, a part-time aide will now be full time as will Rebecca Alexander, Vance said.
Vance said in the letter transportation by PeopleRides and programs are intended to be kept in place whenever possible.
The program had been under the direction of the Iowa Valley Community?College District which chose not to continue due to changes in Medicaid funding.
