Before Judge Marsha Bergan in Tama County District Court in Toledo:
Zachary Dean Roberts, 21, rural Tama, pled guilty to two counts of failure to comply with sex offender registry requirements. A pair of two year prison sentences to be served consecutively were suspended. Roberts was directed to reside at a residential treatment facility for up to 365 days or until maximum benefits are achieved.
He also was fined and assessed court costs totaling $1,688 and was placed on probation for two years to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services.
On Nov. 1, 2012, Roberts was charged after allegedly failing to report to the Tama County Sheriff's Office for a quarterly report under registry rules. He was charged again on Nov. 6 for allegedly providing a false home address in violation of registry rules. The charges were filed by Deputy Sheriff Michael Wright.
Harley James Green, 19, Traer, received a deferred judgement, was assessed a $315 civil penalty and was placed on self-supervised probation for one year.
He entered an Alford Plea to a charge of assault causing bodily injury as a lesser offense after a jury had heard his case and before closing arguments or jury instructions.

Green was originally charged with serious domestic abuse assault at a residence in Traer on May 28, 2012. The victim suffered knee and arm injuries and he was accused of choking the person. The charge was filed by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Joe Quandt
