Rebecca Chyma, Toledo, attended the annual AAUW Iowa Conferecne held on April 13 on the Luther College Campus in Decorah. Chyma accepted two awards presented to the local Tama-Toledo Branch of the American Assoication of University women. These awards recognized the organization's success in recruiting new members during the 2011-2012 130th Anniversary Membership Campaign.
The two awards entitle the Tama-Toledo Branch to give three free memberships to new members for the coming year. AAUW is open to anyone, men or women, who have associate or higher degrees from accredited colleges or universities. AAUW's mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research.
