Before Judge Paul D. Miller in Tama County District Court in Toledo:
Demitrius Edward Spencer, 21, Tama, pled guilty to 4th degree theft and was fined $315. He also was sentenced on an earlier conviction of assault causing injury for which he received 27 days in jail with credit for 27 days already served.
Spencer was originally charged with being involved in a fight on Aug. 25, 2011, in which $270 in cash was allegedly taken from the victim. The fight occurred in the 100 block of East 5th Street in Tama. Tama Police Officer Jason Bina filed the charges.
Mark Joseph Grego, 45, Marshalltown, pled guilty to 2nd offense drunken driving. He was fined $1,875, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all but seven days suspended and placed on unsupervised probation.
Grego was charged on March 24 at U. S. Highway 30 and T Avenue by Tama County deputy Sheriff Joe Quandt.
Fernanado Vargas Ceja, 32, rural Chelsea, pled guilty to operating without a driver's license in a plea agreement. He was fined $250.
He was originally cited for driving while license revoked on Jan. 30 on U.S. Highway 30 near Tama by Tama county Deputy Sheriff Trevor Killian.
Tobey Elliott, 36, Dysart, pled guilty to serious assault and was fined $315.
He originally was charged on Feb. 16 with domestic abuse assault with injury for allegedly assaulting his live-in girlfriend in the 400 block of Tama street, Dysart. The charge was field by Dysart Police Chief Jason Dunagan.
