Movie to be theme for annual tourism event April 27 in Clutier

April 23, 2013
Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

"Live! On Location!" is the theme for the Tama County Convention and Visitors Bureau evening of entertainment Saturday, April 27. The theme is a salute to "A Place for Heroes," the movie made in Tama County in 2012.

Highlights for the evening will be the first look at some clips of the movie furnished by the movie's director, plus music from the era with promised appearances by some of those who appeared in the movie, and some talks by local folks who were involved in the making of the film.

Since part of the "Heroes" movie is set at the ZCBJ Lodge Hall in Clutier (for a World War II flashback setting), the Tama County CVB is locating this year's annual fund raising event there also, showing appreciation for the authentic "flavor" of that wonderfully preserved 1905 building.

During the evening, a silent auction will add to the fun, with items donated by supporting merchants and locations in the county. The actual movie script used by actress Sally Kellerman, has been donated to the group and will be auctioned off that evening to some lucky person.
