Report from Tama County Humane Society Shelter

April 20, 2013
Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

Letter to the Editor:

WOW! Has the Tama County Humane Society NO KILL shelter been busy this year already!!!!

So many dogs have come through here and have found their forever homes of love. This makes us very happy.

The volunteers were worked to the edge of exhaustion many days. Now we are over- whelmed with kittens, many, many kittens. They are soooooo darned cute and cuddley and will demand a lot of food and litter as they become older. Our store house of dog/cat food is slowly deminishing. We are picky too,as the only good food is the good brands. Cheaper brands tend to give all animals bathroom problems. Lately we have gotten a little behind with laundry with so many dogs passing through our shelter. Volunteers are in need every day of the week all year. The chores go by faster when you are not the only one or two that show up each day. This also gives you more time to TLC the pets. I just thought I would let you all know what is happening with the shelter these days. Stop in just to visit, we will give you the VIP treatment with a personal tour.

God bless all of you who help physically and finacially.
