AMES- Tara Gray, Toledo and Laura Bro, Montour, are among 23 young cattle producers from around the state participating in the 2013 Young Cattlemen's Leadership Program (YCLP). The Iowa Cattlemen's Association program is designed to develop leadership qualities in young producers.
Throughout the year, the young producers will take part in activities that include lobbying at the state capitol; leadership skills development; learning more about ICA, the Iowa Cattlemen's Foundation, and the Iowa Beef Industry Council; planning the 2014 ICA Carcass Challenge; and learning more about beef industry issues from news makers.
YCLP is sponsored by ICA with funding provided by the Iowa Cattlemen's Foundation and members of the ICA President's Council
