A total of 37 pugs were rescued from a puppy mill & brought to the Tama County Humane Society this past couple of weeks. They were in need of medical attention and a safe place to rest.
The volunteers were overwhelmed with keeping up with the dog's needs and keeping all clean.
What a noisy place until all were cared for and settled down.
A pair of the Pugs rescued and being cared for the Tama County Humane Society Shelter in Tama.
Over the last few days all but a few Pugs have been sent off to other rescue leagues and foster care. Then 12 more dogs arrived from the same puppy mill, in worse condition, this week. This group are all under special care at rescue and foster care centers in Iowa and surrounding states.
To all the volunteers and helpers thank you for saving the lives of these animals. You are all special.
Thank you for your patience while they undergo this learning experience.
