Tama County Supervisors heard no comment and moved to approve the 2013-14 county budget on a 3-0 vote Monday morning. While the budget is up a little over $9 million over the current fiscal year, a total of $7.3 million of the amount results from formation of the Vienna Wind Farm Urban Renewal District according to Auditor Laura Kopsa.
Supervisors decided earlier to use this new revenue source to repair at least three county roadways in the northwest area.
The accompanying tables show spending in various areas.
The amount of the budget to be raised from property taxes totals $8,070,162.
Voting to approve the budget were Supervisors Dan Anderson, Kendall Jordan and Larry Vest.
