While extent of injuries could not be reported due to federal privacy law, a 2-year-old who flew out a second-story window at a Toledo apartment complex did not appear to be seriously hurt according to Toledo Police Chief Bob Kendall. The incident occurred shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Monday night, March 11, at the Village Park Apartments at 1015 Prospect Drive.
The young boy was bouncing on a bed with some companions and the room reportedly became warm. This prompted the children to open a sliding glass window, Kendall said.
As the bouncing continued the two-year-old bounded out the window and fell about 20 feet to the ground.

He landed on some snow which may have cushioned the fall, Kendall said.
A Toledo ambulance and Toledo Police officers responded to the scene. The boy was transported to Grinnell Regional Medical Center by ambulance.
A hospital spokesperson had no information due to HIPPA regulations.
