Gronewold, Bell, Kyhnn & Co. P.C. CPAs have released an audit report on the City of Tama. The City's receiptstotaled $2,737,402 for the year ended June 30, 2012, a 28.3% decrease from 2011.
The receipts included $877,842 in property tax, $9,800 in tax increment financing, $1,169,546 from charges for services, $385,133 from operating grants, contributions and restricted interest, $152,394 from local option sales tax, $43,612 from unrestricted interest on investments, and $99,075 from other general receipts.
Disbursements for the year totaled $3,224,945, an 8.8% decrease from the prior year, and included $710,605 for public safety, $557,856 for public works, $285,554 for culture and recreation, $255,354 for debt service, $475,411 for capital projects and $156,333 for general government.
Also, disbursements for business type activities totaled $721,256.
