Soap and Guitar Next Iowa Valley Offerings

Broaden Your Horizons

February 1, 2013
By Anne Michael , Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

You could spend a couple of hours on two Sunday afternoons in March and make soap. One Sunday you will make luxurious, gentle soap from real goat's milk. The next Sunday you will learn how to dress up your soap projects by giving them color and shaping them in molds. What cool, personalized gifts these soaps would be!

Join Sandy McAntire in the Shoestring Garden at 205 Hwy 30 West. The classes will meet on March 3rd and March 17th beginning at 4 PM.

Bring $15.00 payable to Sandy at the time of the class to cover all needed materials. Tuition for this class is $32.00.

The next offering is called Guitar Exploratory because that is exactly what it is about. You will have a chance to see and experience what is involved in learning guitar. This will enable you to decide if learning guitar is really something you want to do, and you will be able to figure it out BEFORE you spend a great deal on a guitar and an amp.

The class is taught by Joe Rebik, professional musician , and will meet at the Civic Center on Tuesday, March 5, beginning at 6:30 pm. The tuition for this class is $18.00.
