The holiday season is about giving to others, at Sunny Hill staff and residents did just that with a gift wrapping program.
Social worker, Megan Hughes, and Activity Director, Katie Ealy, saw an overwhelming need for support at the Tama Food Pantry. Together they created "Gift Wrap and Give Back" an opportunity for staff, residents, and the community to give to the food pantry. Megan, Katie, and residents volunteered to wrap Christmas gifts for food donations.
Sunny Hill provided all of the wrapping paper and offered to match the donations that were brought in. There was a great response from staff and community members and there were a lot of food donations.

Caleb Walton, Administrator, was excited about the opportunity to give back to Tama County and agreed to have Sunny Hill match the donations.
Sunny Hill donated gift certificates for ground beef and other nonperishable food items which included paper products such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish and hand soap, and garbage bags.
Altogether with Sunny Hill's matched donations, there was a donation of 152 pounds of food, household supplies and paper products.
With the success of "Gift Wrap and Give Back" Sunny Hill is willing to take donations for the Food Pantry throughout the year so the people of Tama County can continue to benefit.
