Genevieve Irene Holste, 94, died suddenly at her home in Macon, Mo.
She was born in Toledo, Iowa, on Feb. 27, 1918, to Lewis and Rose Hall. She was raised in Toledo and graduated from Toledo High School. She attended a Nursing School for a short time before marrying. Over the years, besides Toledo she had lived in Louisiana; Tama County; Omaha; Massena, Iowa ;and Macon, Mo. She was an independent person and very proud of her "Bohemian" background. Over the years she had numerous occupations. She had been a farmer's wife, legal secretary, secretary, and care giver.
Her parents, husbands, and her brother, Leonard, have preceded her in death.
She is survived by her nephews and their families; Richard Hall (California), Robert Hall (Ohio), Mark Hall (Coralville, Iowa).
No services are planned and internment will be in Toledo, close to her parents by family members as she requested.*
