Appointments to Tama Council committees and other city posts were announced by Mayor Dan Zimmerman on Monday night, Jan. 7. The appointments were approved by the council on a 5-0 vote.
Council committees: Public Safety- Robert Tyynismaa, chair, and Kenny McAdoo (police department is overseen by the mayor); Public Works and Health and Social Services- Steve Baier, chair and McAdoo; Culture and Recreation- Crystal Kaufman, chair, and Mike Carnahan; Economic Development- Carnahan, chair and Baier; General Government- Baier, chair, and Kaufman; Business Type Activity- McAdoo, chair, and Tyynismaa.
