Paul Ellenbecker has been chosen Tama Fire Chief to replace Rod Anderson for 2013. Ellenbecker had been serving as fire department rescue captain. Ellenbecker's election and the other fire and ambulance service officers were ratified by the Tama City Council at their meeting on Monday, Jan. 7 on a 5-0 vote. Fire department and ambulance service members elect their own leadership.
Other fire department officers include: Stuart Eisentrager, assistant chief, Brian Hanus, training captain, Dale Kriess, training lieutenant, Aaron Yuska, rescue captain, Brian Otto, maintenance captain, Josh Kinnaman, maintenence lieutenant, Brad Crawford, treasurer, Eric Haughey, secretary and Ken McAdoo, recreation coordinator.
