Max Morrison, 64, Traer, has died from complications attributed to injuries received when a light plane in which he was a passenger crashed northeast of Clutier in Tama County on Nov. 28. Morrison died Monday, Jan. 7 at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.
Funeral services are set for Friday, January 11, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the Traer United Methodist Church.
The pilot of the plane, William "Willie" Konicek, 69, also of Traer was pronounced dead at the scene. The two were believed on what was described as a pleasure flight the morning of the crash.
A National Transportation Safety Board preliminary report of the accident issued in early December said the plane truck power line while attempting to land at an old air strip.
