Iowa saw its own version of a palm tree last Thursday morning, Dec. 20, after the winter storm. The branches drooped on this small tree in downtown Tama as heavy snow fell Wednesday night and Thursday morning. The winter storm caused many traffic problems and forced the South Tama School District to cancel classes Thursday and Friday.
