Toledo's City Council approved a few smaller items, including setting events hearings for January and appointing Board of Adjustment members, at its meeting last Monday night.
The first action of business was to a meeting and hearing for the budget. The city council set the Budget Request meeting for 6 p.m. Jan. 7. At that meeting, the city departments will present their budgets for next year and make requests to the city council.
Following that approval, the city council set a Budget Amendment hearing for 6 p.m. Jan. 7. It will take place before the Budget Request meeting. Both items were unanimously approved by the city council.
In other action, the city council voted to have another hearing at its next regular meeting on Jan. 14. The council will hold a public hearing on a Water Revenue Loan and Disbursement agreement at 7 p.m. that night. The agreement is another step in the city's water treatment plant project.
At the Dec. 10 meeting, Joe Boll informed Mayor Dave Svoboda that he needed to appoint two new members to the Board of Adjustment, which had decreased by two people. Svoboda came back with his recommendations last week. Dale Yuska and Paula Rohach were approved by the city council to serve on the Board of Adjustment.
The next regular city council meeting is at 7 p.m. Jan. 14.
