Amy Marie Ledvina and Derek Jonathan Townsend were united in marriage June 9th, 2012, at Christ United Methodist Church, Toledo. The ceremony was officiated by Terry Townsend, father of the groom. A reception and dance followed at the CSA Hall in Vining, IA.
Amy is the daughter of Michael and Connie Ledvina of Toledo. She is the granddaughter of Marilyn and the late Melvin Ledvina, Elberon and Beverly and the late Keith Squiers, Chelsea. Derek is the son of Terry and Doreen Townsend, Bondurant. He is the grandson of Aubree and Dorothy Everly, Bondurant and Clarence and Shirley Townsend, Indianapolis, IN.
Carissa Bentz, friend of the bride served as Maid of Honor. Leanne Vander Streek, sister of groom, Kelsey Tompkins, friend of bride and Jessica Steuhm, friend of bride served as bridesmaids. Kurt Townsend, brother of groom served as Best Man. Adam Ledvina, brother of bride, Sam Ostransky, friend of groom and Austin Munoz, friend of groom served as groomsmen. Caleb Townsend, brother of the groom served as junior groomsman. Ushers were Louis Vander Streek, brother-in-law of the groom, Drew Ostransky and Will Ostransky, friends of the groom. Cora Talbert, God-daughter of bride, served as flower girl.
Ledvina-Townsend Exchange Vows
Amy is a 2006 graduate of South Tama High School and a 2010 graduate of Central Colloge. She is currently attending nursing school at Marshalltown Community College and is employed at Fareway. Derek is a 2005 graduate of Perry High School and a 2009 graduate of Central College. He is currently attending Pharmacy school at the University of Iowa and is employed by Target Pharmacy.
Following a honeymoon in Georgia, Amy and Derek have made their home on a 5th generation family farm near Chelsea.
