Steph’s Head to Toe Massage has a touch for promoting health

"Relaxation, helping with any physical needs and stress relief," are the key ingredients to Steph Kupka's new Toledo business, Steph's Head to Toe Massage. A graduate of Iowa School of Natural Health in Ankeny, she opened at 110 East High St. in mid-September.

Business has been steady so far, she said with her client base building. She is open by appointment from 3-7 p.m. Monday-Friday and will also schedule Saturday appointments.

Among offerings are Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, reflexology and "skinny massage."

The "skinny massage" utilizes body wraps made of natural herbs and is known to reduce inches overnight, Steph said.

A 2007 graduate of North Tama High School, Traer, Steph, of Tama, is the daughter of Steve and Deb Kupka, Clutier.

Graduating early from North Tama, she attended Marshalltown Community College where she played volleyball and basketball. She then took off a couple of years and was employed at I-Wireless in Marshalltown and Fareway in Toledo before returning to school. Upon completion she passed state boards and obtained her license.

Steph's Head to Toe Massage is located in what had been occupied for several years by The Little Shop. P{reviously it was the long-time location of the House of Beauty.

Steph remodeled the interior with a new floor, paint and furnishings. The exterior was also painted and decorated.

She is considering the addition of health and beauty products lines.

Steph is also employed as a server at The magnolia in downtown Toledo.

Steph has lived in Tama since 2008. Steph enjoys playing on the Stein Hrabak Floor covering volleyball team in a Marshalltown league and also plays league softball. She said she also hopes to get into some type of coaching.
