Vice President Ann Hendrichs introduced our speaker; Heath Kellogg, Ex Director of the Tama County Economic Development, Heath spoke on How to Grow the Economy..
Minutes were read and approved as corrected.
Treasures report was given by Marlene Eernisse.
President Karen read a thank you note from Joanne Yuska thanking the group for the gift of a special pen made by Craig Havran.
Arlene Gerlach, Adventures in Reading chairman talked about the new reading list and how to keep track of the books that are on the recommended reading list.
Joanne Yuska talked about Ship. Earlene Bacon announced that the club was delivering Meals on Wheels this week, those helping were, Frank & Floriss Adair; Marlene Eernisse & Larry Skala; Barb and Bruce Muecke; Earlene Bacon and Joanne & Berta Dostal.
Arlene Gerlach announced that bingo will be at Pheasant Ridge on October 23rd at 1:15. Helping will be Arlene, Marlene, Floriss, Karen, & Shirley.
President Karen reported on the upcoming Southeast District Convention to be held October 13, 2012 at the Wickiup Hill Outdoor Learning Area north of Cedar Rapids. Planning on attending are Karen, Marlene, Joanne, Earlene, Ann H. & Sylvia. Marlene Eernisse will give the Memorial service. Sylvia Johnson will give a talk about ESO reading.
Ann McMullin, Conservation and Sustainability chairmen talked about now is the time to do window calking and window stripping.
Federation News report was given by Barb Muecke, she talked about domestic violence.
President Karen talked about some of the State President projects.
Happy Dollars were collected and the Collect was recited. Meeting adjourned.
