Fire engulfed a truck in the 1300 block of Trojan Drive in Tama at mid-morning Tuesday, Sept. 18. Tama and Toledo firefighters were summoned to the scene and were able to bring the blaze under control without any further damage, but the truck was a total loss according to Tama Fire Chief Rod Anderson. The truck, belonging to Wilcox Equipment and Repair, rural Tama, was being used to transport construction equipment to near the site of a new home under construction in the Indian Hills addition.
