Before Judge Robert E. Sosalla in Tama County District Court in Toledo:

Lucas Wyatt Smalllegs-Goose, 22, rural Tama, pled guilty to fraudulent application regarding vehicle. He received a deferred sentence and was assessed a $625 civil penalty. Smalllegs-Goose may perform community service in lieu of paying the penalty.

He was also placed on probation for one year to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services

He was charged on Aug. 1, 2011, for making a fraudulent application for an Iowa motor vehicle certificate of title at the Tama County treasurer's Office. The charge was field by Department of Transportation Enforcement Officer Ryan Ridout.

Tabitha Avila, 30, Toledo, received a deferred judgement on a charge of wanton neglect not resulting in serious injury She was placed on supervised probation for two years to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services and assessed a $625 civil penalty. Community service may be performed in lieu of paying the civil penalty.

Avila was originally charged on Nov. 24, 2010, with wanton neglect of a resident of a health care facility. The charge was filed by the Tama County Attorney's Office.
