Letter to the Editor:

My Economic Vision for District 3 County Supervisor-

I was in the Silicon Valley in 2,000, before the tech bubble burst. It was an exhilarating experience. I'd get to ride the Cal-train to work, and mingle with tech savvy, incredibly optimistic entrepreneurs. Today there isn't a a major chip manufacturer in the Silicon Valley. Somewhere the train left the tracks. I see the same entrepreneurial spirit in Tama. Let's look around. You have the new hardware store in Tama. You have the new computer repair store, just to name a couple. You have IBP thinking about opening a new plant outside of town. I've met the financial investment people downtown as well as several bank managers around town. They seem pretty far from whipped. I've visited several times the Tama County Economic Board's office.

Regarding my educational qualifications. I have four years in engineering at Iowa. Plus 9 hours of graduate entrepreneurial courses ranging from Entrepreneurship for Engineers to Venture Funded Start-ups. This last summer I took a difficult course called Construction Cost Estimates. New construction is very crucial for economic health; for every new construction you tou have, you can times that by 2 or 3 for it's economic impact.

As a supervisor for Tama County, my main job would be to get government our of the the way so the economic talent of this county can grow to its full potential. Recently the railroad had a meeting in Des Moines to discuss possible routes for its new passenger service. The route going through Tama was one possible route, yet no one even showed up to lobby for Tama County. If I had been supervisor I not only would have been there but I would have been loaded for bear.

Write me in for supervisor for Tama County and I won't let similar opportunities slip away.

Write in Candidate for Tama Supervisor

John Anderson
