August 31, 2012
Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

Iowa author Mary Kay Shanley visited the Toledo Public Library on August 16th to discuss her book, Our State Fair-Iowa's Blue Ribbon Story.

The audience hung on each word as Mary Kay told the story of how she came to write the book, the amount of historical research and reading that was involved, and personal stories relating to her research.

It was a delight to host this literary event with Mary Kay, the library and foundation were very grateful to have her visit our library and community.
