Tama-Toledo Lions Club installs new officers

The Tama-Toledo Lions Club recently selected their officers for the 2012-2013 term. Galen Musgrave was named the club president. He has been an active member of the Tama-Toledo Lions Club for the past eleven years.

The officers and members look forward to leading various projects and continuing the Tama-Toledo Lion Club's commitment to serving the community.

Over the years, the Tama-Toledo Lions Club members have worked on a variety of projects in the local community, such as providing eye exams and glass to those in need, and providing KidSight eye screenings to pre-school age children in the community. Proceeds from past fundraising events have gone to an annual scholarship, Tama and Toledo Libraries, and the Wieting Theatre Renovation.

The club is currently planning its upcoming Waffle Breakfast which will be held on Sunday, Nov. 25.

The Tama-Toledo Lions Club has 31 members and meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Tama-Toledo Country Club. Meetings are held September through May each year.

The Tama-Toledo Lions Club is a group of men who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs.
