The first Tama County Leadership Program, sponsored by Iowa Valley Continuing Education and the Tama/Toledo Chamber of Commerce, was a success! The next class starts this fall, September 13, 2012. This year you can choose to attend all nine sessions or pick and choose the topic that interests you. Tama County Leadership will meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the State Bank of Toledo, 100 East High Street, Toledo.
The program welcomes new, aspiring and seasoned leaders in Tama County. Participants will enhance their ability to lead while increasing knowledge and understanding of county-wide issues. Topics for the program include: Connecting with Social Media, Sept. 13; Your Work Personality, Oct. 11; Building a Team, Nov. 8; Conflict Management, Dec. 13; Visioning, Jan. 10; Time Management, Feb. 14; Financial Responsibility, Mar. 14; Population of Tama County, Apr. 11; and Local Government, May 9.
Tuition for Tama County leadership is $99 per participant and includes nine sessions, on-line resources, all materials and light breakfast at each session. You can register for each session separately for $25 per session. Early registration is encouraged as space is limited. The registration deadline is Sept. 4, 2012. Applicants are encouraged to check with their employing organization about financial sponsorships.
