Before Judge Robert E. Sosalla in Tama County District Court in Toledo:

Kiedis Dayton Old Bear, 19, rural Tama, was sentenced to five years in prison. He pled guilty on July 5 to a charge of willful injury intending to cause serious injury but causing bodily injury as a domestic abuse. A $750 fine was suspended. The sentences is concurrent with a Clarke County sentence for eluding and 1st offense drunken driving.

Old Bear was charged on Jan. 25 n the 1700 block of Meskwaki Road. with assaulting a woman who was holding their child by Meskwaki Tribal police Lt. Brian Shimon.

Charges of going armed with intent, domestic abuse assault with intent and child endangerment - no injury were dismissed.

Craig Brian Glenn, 48, Traer, pled guilty to 1st offense drunken driving. He was fined $1,250 and sentence to 365 days in jail with all but four days suspended. He will serve the sentence at home with an ankle bracelet monitor within 60 days. The court may suspend one-half the fine amount if Glenn furnishes proof of installation of an ignition interlock device on his vehicle.

He also was directed to complete a drinking driver's course and was placed on probation for one year to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services. Glenn also must pay a $300 supervisory fee.

He was charged on Nov.. 13, 2011, in the 2100 block of QQ Avenue by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Joe Quandt.
