Before Judge Patrick R. Grady in Tama Co. District court in Toledo:

Levi Millard Robinson, 20, Osceola, entered a written guilty plea to a charge of assault on a peace officer. He was sentenced to 25 days in jail and fined $315.

Robinson was charged on Jan. 7 at the Tama County Jail in Toledo while being restrained he allegedly spit on Deputy Sheriff Bryan Ellenbecker and tried to kick him according to court records.

Travis Alexander Snelling, 18, Marshalltown entered a written guilty plea to 3rd degree burglary- unoccupied vehicle. He received a suspended two-year prison sentence and a $625 fine was also suspended. Snelling was placed on probation for two years to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services.

He was accused on entering a vehicle at a location which not listed in court records on March 19. The charge was filed by Assistant Tama County Attorney Niki A.S. Whiteacre.

Jeffrey Lynn Ross, 41, Tama entered a written guilty plea to charges of 1st degree harassment and domestic abuse assault. On each charge he was sentenced to 70 days in jail with credit for 70 days already served and was fined $625 on each count which were suspended.

Ross was charged on March 22 with harassment after allegedly making 74 telephone calls and sending more than 24 text messages to a girlfriend after being directed to stop. He was accused of domestic assault after allegedly attempting to spit on his girlfriend and threatening to break her neck according to the court documents. Tama Police Officer Jason Bina field the charges.

Levi Andre Palmer, 28, Traer, entered a written guilty plea to a charge of 1st offense drunken driving. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail with all but seven suspended, fined $1,250 and directed to complete a 12-hour course for drinking drivers. Palmer was placed on unsupervised probation for two years. Charges of possession of marijuana and speeding were dismissed in a plea agreement.

He was charged on Oct. 1, 2011, at U.S. Highway 63 and 220th Street by Tama county Deputy Sheriff Trevor Killian.

Daniel Curtis Werning, 20, Belle Plaine, entered a written guilty plea to assault in a plea agreement. He was sentenced to three days in jail.

Werning was accused of felony assault on April 1 in the 300 block of Orange Street in Chelsea. He allegedly struck a victim in the face with a closed fist multiple times resulting in knocking out the victim's front teeth and causing a bloody lip. The charge was filed by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Lucas Dvorak.

Jesus Bulmaro Lopez-Lopez, 23, San Jose, Calif., entered a written guilty plea to possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for four days already served, fined $315 and his driver's license was suspended for 180 days.

Lopez-Lopez was charged on June 2 with possession of a smoking device which tested positive for marijuana reside at a the Super 8 Motel in Toledo. Toledo Police Officer Dan Quigley field the charge.

Israel Camacho, 18, Toledo pled guilty to a charge of false reports. He was sentenced to 14 days in jail with credit for 14 days already served.

Camacho originally accused of tampering with evidence in a case involving another person in an information field by Tama County Attorney Brent Heeren on Dec. 5, 2011.
