Plans are in full swing for Tama's Sesquicentennial Celebration set for Friday and Saturday, July 27 and 28.
An old-fashioned "county fair" event is being aimed for committee members Debbie Thomas and Deb Kouba said Tuesday.
The committee has been meeting for many months putting together the events but say they still need lots of volunteer help to pull everything together.
Everyone is invited to come to the Tama Sesquicentennial meetings each Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. at the Tama Civic Center, 305 Siegel.
One thing is for sure- there will be something for all ages with live entertainment, contests, historical displays, demonstrations a street dance, much more.
And you won't want to miss the spectacular fireworks display over Cherry Lake climaxing the observance on Saturday night.
