Rosalie Petermeier, 76, Toledo, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012 at her home in Toledo. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 16, at 10:30 a.m. at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Interment will follow at Garwin Cemetery in Garwin, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 15, from 4-6 p.m. at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama. Rosalie was born on March 13, 1936, in rural Vining. the daughter of Albert and Ella (Zeman) Dolash. On Nov. 8, 1955, she was united in marriage to Arthur Petermeier. She helped her husband farm. She also worked at the Bar and Supper Club in Garwin and later Westbrook Acres in Gladbrook and the Meskwaki Bingo and Casino retiring in 1997. Rosalie was a hard worker and enjoyed her family in her spare time. She also enjoyed playing Pepper and Bingo. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Arthur; two brothers, Art and George Dolash; and her beloved Yorkshire Terrier, "Frisky". Survivors include two daughters, Donna (Dave) Spillman, Garwin, and Cheryl (Jeff) Cowan, Fall Creek, Wisc.; one granddaughter, April Spillman, Marshalltown; her siblings, Karen Nekola, Donald (Sarah) Dolash and Fred Dolash all of Tama, and June Nekola, Elberon; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be directed to the Tama County Humane Society.
