South Tama's Kolton Smith got back to his former self Monday at the Lincoln Valley Country Club.
After shooting higher-than-normal scores at several tournaments, Smith found his game again. He shot an 80 at the 18-hole North Iowa Cedar League West Division championship.
Smith's round of 80 tied him with Lane Bangasser from Grundy Center, forcing a playoff hole. Smith won the playoff hole and officially finished runner-up behind Kevin Trobaugh from Gladbrook-Reinbeck.

Grundy Center and BCLUW tied for second with 350, with South Hardin (350), East Marshall (359), West Marshall (370), South Tama (371) and AGWSR (372) rounding out the teams.
South Tama's next lowest scores came from Alec Hill, who shot a 93, and Dalton Doyle (94). Trent Banes was the fourth-best STC golfer with a score of 104. Taylen Anderson (106) and Donovan Horne (119) also participated at the meet Monday.
The Trojans headed to Solon on Thursday to play in the sectionals golf meet. Results weren't available at press time.
