Rebecca Ann Howe Tapper, 56, of Tama, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 12, at 10:30 a.m. at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Rev. Dewey Grimes officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home.
Rebecca was born on March 3, 1956 in Grinnell, the daughter of William and Edna (Braye) Neville.
She graduated from South Tama High School in 1974. Rebecca was employed at the Meskwaki Bingo & Casino. She loved her children and grandchildren. In her younger days, she enjoyed riding horses and fishing.

Preceding her in death was her father, William; her grandparents, Ed and Maymie Braye and Marine and Orville Neville.
Survivors include three daughters, Heather (Valjean) Bear, Stacy (Manuel Alvarez) Murillo, and Megan (Rigoberto) Banda all of Tama; twelve grandchildren, Ian, Brittany, Alyissa, Mario, Diego, Sophia, Brisa, Jr., Jasmine, Jose, Aja, and Raeana; her mother, Edna Neville, Toledo; her siblings, Eugene (Patricia) Neville, Greenville, S.C., Phillip (Louanne) Neville, Cedar Rapids, Peggy (Ron) Newmire, Cedar Rapids, DeLynn (Dick) Rucker, Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Miranda (Tony) Kurtt West Des Moines, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial fund has been established.
