A Matter of Wills

April 8, 2012
By Rebecca Flora , Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

Not my will, but Thine be done.

Spoke in agony, by our Lord.

As images of a Roman cross,

Could no longer be ignored.

From a similar garden long ago

Had fallen all mankind.

Now separated from our loving God

His plan was not to be denied.

But Christ was sent to build a bridge

To reinstate us all

The perfect, sinless, Son of God

Answered His Father's call.

From Eden to Gethsemane, two gardens long ago.

As Adam's race, we fell from grace.

And left the world in woe.

But Jesus took your sin's and mine

As He died upon that tree

And because of Him, We've died to sin

And we can be set "Free".

Not my will but Thine be done.

Words spoken out of Love.

For all of man, The Father's plan

Completed in "The Risen Son".
